Fixing Agency Blindspots that cost you money
Time to fix those profit leaks
It's no surprise that in business, blind spots cost you money.
The more you have, the more they cost.
But it's not like 1+1+1=3
It's more like 1+1+1=8
I’m Nick Avaria, agency owner, and founder of Agency Acquisitions. Every week I share a client story, insights, and tips into scaling your agency faster. For longer insights and more in-depth analysis, follow me on YouTube for real stories of scaling agencies to 7 and 8 figures. Watch the latest videos here.
The more blind spots you have the more they synergize and create huge profit leaks.
This is why top agencies can achieve 35-50%+ profit lines when they are running optimally (depending on business model).
It's also why a 35% profit agency is only 3-4 errors away from being a 20-25% profit agency.
And 7-10 errors away from being a 10-15% profit agency.
Now you may think, “Fixing 7-10 errors to go from 10% to 35% sounds really good.”
Fixing these things is not the problem.
The problem is that they are not a 1-time fix.
Fixing the 7-10 issues means you have to figure out how to fix them; then MAINTAIN them.
And that is HARD.
Why? One word: Discipline.
The more systems you spin up to ensure that blind spots are mitigated the more administrative cost we generate.
And this battles against our profit.
There’s only one answer - only do the things that enable you to get clarity on the blindspot and maintain the results.
And cut everything else.
The biggest problem people have is that they don’t know what to cut.
So here’s the shortcut. You need 7 dashboards:
Marketing Dashboard
Sales Dashboard
Churn/Retention Dashboard
Client Satisfaction Dashboard
Client Results Dashboard
Operations/Time (UR & ER) Dashboard
Finance Dashboard
Then you need to put the key numbers of these dashboards into a master executive dashboard.
If you don’t have one you can download the version I use.
Once you have the dashboard you have to review it once a month and cascade the information to everyone in the agency.
Then you assign the key numbers by role and hold these individuals accountable to the performance of the numbers.
If you want to know how to assign the numbers check out the training here:
Until next time,
